Driving from Warsaw to Gdańsk (338 km) currently costs about €43.89 in petrol, one way. From Kraków (599 km) it's €77.68, and from Katowice (529 km) €68.62. Split four ways, the drive from Kraków comes to €19.42 per person.

Motorway or expressway

From southern and central Poland the main tolled stretch is the A1 motorway between Toruń and Gdańsk. Expressways, including the S7 from Warsaw to Gdańsk, are free for cars. Toll rates change, so check them before you go.
